S.T.D. (clever, no?)

yikes! how hard it is not to sound cliche when you're a teenager. "oh the world is against me!", "all my friends are doing it too!", "i'm only 45 minutes past curfew, what's the big deal?" "i didn't know you were kidding when you said 'take the car'"...it gets to be a bit much. though i'm only 16 (for 7 more days, if my math is correct), i like to think that i'm at least halfway able to see those corny cliches and avoid them, but no. that's the thing about Stupid Teenage Drama: you see it coming, you think you can handle it, but when it comes to you you're like a deer in headlights taking it full force. then, as soon as it hits you, and you know it hits you, you're sitting there like an idiot thinking "why the hell didn't i avoid that?" while you're sitting amongst the social graces you fell from when that STD hit you full force.

look out!
